Happiness is in the Creation

Although we live in a time where we don’t need to hunt for food or sheer sheep to make clothing, the act of creating something out of nothing has a powerful effect on our happiness and well being. Cooking, knitting, sewing and other do it yourself activities, help counteract many of our most persistent modern mental health afflictions, such as stress, meaninglessness and sadness not to mention the sense of accomplishment is instant gratification.
